Mind work first

I have yet to learn an important lesson: do “mind work” first.

I always put off stuff like planning in favor of tasks that have to be done physically, thinking I’ll tackle them at night when it’s not feasible to do most of the physical tasks I have todo.

Then I get to the evening and I am exhausted and have no energy to think about any of it. Today is yet another one of those days and I keep kicking myself over not having done those tasks first.

It’s just more proof that mind work is as important as physical work and can be as exhausting. Much of it is not “low friction and I’ll do it while watching TV stuff”. I really, really need to learn that lesson.
